With summer coming up and all of the social eating and drinking that comes with it.
I wanted to share with you a specific tactic. That will not only let you enjoy your favorite foods, help you lose more fat faster, and will help you avoid cravings.
I want you to cheat on your diet at least once a week.
You heard that right.
I want you to cheat on your diet and cheat hard!
All of my Fat Loss Meal Plans require a cheat meal every 7 days. And your plan should include this.
You will literally cheat your way thin.
Here are the 3 main reasons this works.
#1 Boost your Metabolism
Any fat loss diet in some way creates a calorie restriction. After a while your brain thinks”I’m starving” and slows sown your calorie burning metabolism.
Super-sizing a meal once a week provides a shock to your system that keeps your metabolism revving the rest of the week.
#2 Boost Your Success Rate.
At first I only saw this with my clients then the research came out that backed this up.
When you know you can have a favorite food at least once a week. You will be able to make it through the cravings.
When you know you’ll be able to get to the food eventually your “stick to the plan” goes up.
You’ll also have fewer cravings through the next week.
#3 Boost Your Fat Loss Hormones.
Leptin is a metabolism boosting, fat burning hormone involved in the sensation of hunger. When you’re on a calorie restricted diet your levels of Leptin gradually fall. Lower leptin means slower fat loss.
Kick in more calories temporarily and your leptin levels rise again, increasing the a mount of fat you’re burning.
I do recommend 2 things to make this work better.
1. Pick a specific day/ time that works best for you.
For example Friday night Dinner out, or Sunday lunch after church. That way you’re not temepted at every turn to make that meal your cheat meal. And you’ll also have a goal to shoot for.
2. When it’s on-it’s on. No limits no guilt.
Ice Cream, fried chicken, 2 liters of coke? Why not all 3? Doesn’t matter. Your cheat meal is for you to take a break. So take it.
I’ve had clients that on their first cheat meal never even got out of the car. They just hit the fast food drive thru’s. Didn’t matter. They still got great results.
Not in spite of it, but because they cheated. They were able to go into the next week with renewed focus.
This cheating coupled with a smart plan during the majority of the week works to accelerate your fat loss.
And when you see results faster in the mirror, in your clothes, and on the scale you’ll stay motivated and on track.
It can be done, and you can do this.
