Fort Worth Personal Trainers: Monday Quick Tip-If You Are Struggling (VIDEO)
“Everything you do is either moving you closer to or farther away from your goals.”
Picked this quote up from a super-trainer name Alwyn Cosgrove.
And this is a foundational way to approach things. Especially if you’re struggling.
Are your actions moving you toward your weight loss get in shape goals or moving you away?
It’s amazing the transformation you’ll see in a person that figures it out
“What I’m doing is not working”
Then changes the “what” they’re doing.
Then the results happen FAST…
The opposite of this is-
“I’d like to keep doing what I’m doing- but get different results”
– That doesn’t work at all. Ever.
The power of change isn’t really in the recognition part either. Lot’s of people recognize they need to make changes, but take NO action.
The power is in the doing/action part.
The positive reinforcement is in the doing of it. The new habit is put into play.
Not just having a good idea.
Action is taken.
And the action very clearly moves you to or away from your goal.
People that are fed up with their current condition take action.
Lots and lots of action.
-Putting your workout gear next to their bed to make getting to their AM workout easier. (or like one of my ladies who slept in her gym clothes-then just put her shoes on in the morning)
-Getting up 10minutes early so you can get some breakfast before going out the door.
-Planning-buying and prepping your food for the week.
-Trying supplements that have been proven to accelerate your fat loss results on the scale and in the mirror.
(Not just screwing up your face and saying “that doesn’t work for me”)
-Checking in with your support system (or opening your newsletter from me-that is it’s original design-for support) or even staying in touch through Facebook.
-Not allowing anything or anyone to get in the way of your workout. It’s scheduled, you walk out of the office and you’re there.
-Getting to bed at a decent hour every night this week so you can wake up refreshed and ready to go.
These are all visible actions that will move you in the direction of your goals.
There’s really no middle ground here.
You’re either moving toward or away from where you want to be.
I encourage you, especially if you’re not seeing the results you want to see.
Check your habits-check your actions.
Make sure they’re the right ones
