I’m hardly a ‘green freak’, but I was thinking about it, and most of the things that negatively impact the Earth negatively impact our health, as well.
Think about it:
We drive everywhere- even just down the street to the store. This constant driving not only pollutes the air, it also keeps us from getting necessary activity and keeps us sedentary.
We eat processed food that clogs up our body and fills it with gunk, causing basically every major ailment Americans suffer from today. The ingredients for those processed food like substances are grown and manufactured on poisoned land that is pumped full of chemicals to grow bigger, fatter foods faster- that don’t resemble, or taste nearly as good as real food grown on chemical free soil. (Don’t get me started on organic vs. non organic foods- just go watch Food, Inc.)
That processed food that offers us no nutrition, and causes our bodies to break down more and more every time we eat it is locked inside a twisted web of food packaging that fills our landfills, most of which can be recycled, but isn’t.
Save the Earth and save yourself: walk instead of drive, eat organic, and eat unprocessed. These three things will go along way to improving your health and the planet.
