Talking to one of my workout partners the other day.
She said “Dave you’ve got to give me some simple changes I can make to drop this fat”
Even though she trains at a high intensity 3-4 days a week, does yoga, and is constantly moving in pursuit of her kids…
She said “It’s amazing that with as much activity as I do it still comes down to diet”
And it does. It always circles back.
Do you know who can get away with just working it off?
18 year old active, heavily exercising males.
Thats it. No one else can do that.
So what are the BIG 3 simple changes you can do, and see results relatively quickly.
Remember simple doesn’t mean easy. But they are quite effective.
1) Eliminate alcohol
I know, I know you’re an adult you’ve had a hard day and you’ve earned the right to a drink or two or ten.
You’ve also earned the right to a big ole belly and ass.
Because that’s what you get when you drink all the time.
The choice is yours.
For most adult clients this is the #1 thing slowing down fat loss.
It’s both the physical/chemical mechanism that slows or stops fat loss when you drink.
And the extra calories you consume when you’re drinking.
It’s a one-two punch that prevents you from seeing progress.
2) Eat the same thing on a Schedule
If your day looks like this for example
7am Breakfast 2 eggs, 1/2 cup oatmeal,
12:00pm Chicken salad
6:00 Small piece of steak, brown rice, vegetables
And you eat on this schedule for 2 weeks it’s going to be damn near impossible for you to gain weight.
There’s a certain freedom that comes with discipline.
And having a structured eating plan gives you control, frees up your brain to think of better things, and you feel better.
3) Eat off of this list only

The WHAT you eat will have the biggest impact on how you look and feel.
I can guess how you look simply by looking at a list of foods you regularly eat.
If your diet is mostly eggs, apples, oatmeal, steak, fish, carrots, green beans, rice, chicken, and broccoli
I can guess you’re pretty lean
If it’s no breakfast, sausage rolls, leftover pizza, Chilis, Diet Coke, Starbucks.
And my favorite “I’m so busy I forget to eat”
You’re most probably 20-50 pounds overweight.
The WHAT you eat Matters a LOT.

And real food, like whats on this list is self limiting. Eat as much as you want. You’ll get filled up pretty quick.
So if you’re exercising your ass off and NOT seeing results there’s a high probability putting down that fried turkey leg will help you.
Change the diet. Change your body.
