Fort Worth Personal Trainer: How this 55yo Working Mom and Grandmother Lost 25lbs and 11ins in 6 Months (VIDEO)
Debbie Petrie, 55, is a busy professional CPA, wife, mom, and grandmother to one with one more on the way.
Debbie first came to us after doing a DNA test and discovering she had the gene for alzheimer’s disease.
She has seen the effect alzheimer’s had on her father, so she began researching.
She found that “a healthy lifestyle, especially exercise and cardiovascular things would help prevent and off set the effects of alzheimer’s”
She adds “I was also overweight, but the final straw was the alzheimer’s”
With absolutely NO exercise background and a little fear and intimidation about the gym environment she started in our Fit over 50 Program.
Specifically in the past 6 months she’s lost 25lbs, 11ins overall, increased her stamina, and most importantly as she says “as I’ve seen others age and slow down,I realize I have choices”.
Debbie also shares the #1 Nutrition change she made that she feels has had the biggest impact on her results.
She talks about the “Small and easy”changes she made over time that eventually made a big impact on her weight and health.
Debbie also talks about the steps she took to minimize sugar in her diet, and what she goes for now when she craves something sweet.
For exercise Debbie came in determined to be “coachable”
“I realized I don’t know anything about exercise, but if I show up and follow exactly what my coach Bryson tells me to do I WILL get results”
Debbie closes by adding if you’re in a woman in your 40’s, 50’s, even 60’s “Don’t be intimidated, I was incredibly intimidated by gyms and people who went to gyms. And now I’m incredibly comfortable here. There’s no judgement….I had to make myself do this and I’m do glad I did.”
