“Fall Down Seven Times, Get Up Eight.”
-Japanese Proverb
Happy Monday!
With all the Holiday food showing up in offices and parties every night.
You’re going to face some nutrition and exercise challenges.
And you won’t win them all.
As you may have experienced already. There’s going to be some cookies eaten and workouts missed.
So lets look at “damage control” and how to recover quickly from set backs.
You need a “BACK ON TRACK” Plan…
This is what you will know to DO if and when a slip up occurs.
Being prepared is half the battle.
Even just taking the time(10min max)to write down a BOT plan will help you avoid the slippery slope.
What I want you to do is make a list of all the things you can do to immediately get Back On Track after a slip – the very next BEST Step.
List out Action Steps that you can take ASAP rather than falling into the trap of “Oh well, this day is ruined, I may as well start tomorrow” mindset.
BOT’s might include
-Going out the door and for a walk
-Drinking a big glass of water
-Chewing on some gum
-Do a 4 minute Rapid Fat Loss workout
-Writing about what just happened in a journal etc.
You will want this to be a list you write out and keep with you.
VIP Client Deb Tate whos lost 153lbs passed this Back on Track advice on our FaceBook page
“First put it behind you. Then eat as clean as possible for the next few days and drink lots of extra water.
Unless you’ve gone on a 3 day bender any weight you gain is water retention so super clean eating and water helps flush it out.
I also stay off scale for several days because seeing the gain on the scale can mess with my head and cause me to NOT be able to put it behind me.
It’s a mind game sometimes.
But nothing is more important than putting it behind you and moving on.
One slip never killed anyone’s weightloss.
Letting it spiral out of control will though!”
-Deb Tate
The key is having that pre-planned action that helps you hit the mental reset button. And getting back on track quickly.
