Have you ever wondered how people that are always in good shape while holding down a job and kids and all kinds of other responsibilities do it?
Do you ever wonder how fitness professionals stay lean year round without excessive crazy low calorie dieting?
I wanted to share with you this one weird little insider secret that a lot of us in the fitness world use to lose fat and keep it off.
And it works without brutally restrictive dieting.
It’s one of those small changes that reap huge rewards in the mirror over time.
It was given to me by a girl that did fitness modeling for a living.
I then used it myself to drop over 30lbs. So I KNOW it works.
Then the more I talked to other fit-pros, coaches and lean athletes the more universal I realized this was.
Here’s the one weird trick…
DO NOT eat starchy carbs after lunch (1pm or later).
This means is no bread, rice, pasta, potatoes after your lunch time meal.
This allows you to limit your carbs but not feel deprived.
And you don’t run into some of the problems we see with extreme carb-restriction-light headedness, lack of energy, depression etc…
I use this tactic with some of my own clients when I feel it’s appropriate. (Meaning they’re not drinking soft drinks, eating fast food, generally making solid nutrition decisions).
And believe me, a LOT of people that are “lean for life” use this little change to get fat off and keep it off without counting calories.
The biggest hurdle I’ve heard from people is what to snack on in the afternoon when that’s part of their diet plan.
I usually suggest almonds, cottage cheese, cheese sticks pretty much any green vegetables like celery will do to.
Dinner falls under the lean and green category.
Lean protein and green vegetables.
Like changing any habit, this will be hard not to reach for the bread at dinner, or to add a rice to dinner.
I get it. But if you want to way to get leaner and stay lean with this one weird little trick.
This is the one to try.
Be patient too.
Give it a month to get some results.
Don’t give up the next day or week when “it’s not working!”… it will if you give it time.
Weird, simple and effective.
Talk soon.
