Today’s a pretty important day for me.

On this day one year ago I was cured of cancer.

To make a long story short. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in Jan. 2010.. The treatment options available would have had me wearing a diaper for the next 30 years(no thanks!). So after a lot of research, I found HIFU. HIFU isn’t yet an approved treatment in the US. So my sister and I flew to Cancun, Mexico for the treatment.

It’s as close to a miracle as I’ve ever seen. I was up and walking around within hours. Truly mind boggling given some of the treatment options put in front of me. Every test this year has come back negative. With no side effects I’m cancer free today.

It’s a kick to the head to see those pics now and to relive that day.

I was damn scarred. But, I did it. But not alone. No way. I did it with a lot of help from a lot of people.

I wondered last year where I would be today. A year later.

Here we are. So, today I just wanted to take a moment to say.
