Hope you’re having a great day!
Earlier this week during our Bring a Friend for a Fortnight special one of my clients Sally brought in her neighbor Jessica.
And while she didn’t have a lot of weight to lose when she got to me. Like a lot of women in her late 40’s she needed some accountability to get and stay on track.
Her girlfriend Jessica is a life long exerciser who regularly attends a local boot camp program and has her own gym routine for the other days.
My client Sally has only been in this new neighborhood a couple of years.
When Sally moved in next door Jessica was the first person in the neighborhood to make friends with her and her family.
Whether Sally realized it or not this is important.
Because the WHO you’re around is going to have a huge impact on YOUR habits.
Like I mentioned to them.
If you weigh 150 and you move into a neighborhood where everyone weighs 300 pounds.,, pretty soon you’re going to weigh 300 pounds too.
Research has shown direct correlations between the habits (both good and bad) and the higher percentage that the other spouse will pick up those habits.
Your spouse starts to smoke. It’s more likely you’ll beging to smoke. Not always but often enough you should be aware
Your husband gains weight, most likely you’ll gain weight too. Not always but often enough you should be aware.
On the flip side a spouse begins to lose weight, theres a much higher chance the spouse will follow suit.
The WHO you’re around can and will make you or break you.
Choose carefully and wisely.
If you don’t have friends or family
that take care of themselves, watch what they eat, and exercise regularly, you’re going to have to be the one to lead the way.
And the best way to ensure your success is to get around some like minded people.
Like we have in our Body Firm Fitness Boot Camp. A group dedicated to getting to and keeping a healthy weight, staying active, eating well, getting the most out of every day.
If that sounds like the type of people you’d like to be around…
